Lillstreet Studios – Look what we have cooking in 2010!
Summer 2010 at Lillstreet Studios
Welcome Summer Intern
Studio members welcome Bart Conklin from UW Platteville. A sculpture undergraduate student with an interest in metals and glass. He has already been assisting in the gallery, kid’s camp, classroom glazes, assisting with studio members’ projects, and various other duties. Say hello to Bart when you see him.

Mural for Lillstreet Art Center
Sonata Kazimieraitiene, Corinne D. Peterson, and Julia Sowles will be installing a circle 6′ in diameter comprised of ceramic tiles on the Ravenswood side of the Lillstreet building. Spiraling out from the center of the piece will be mirrors and light colored tiles transitioning into more vivid colors. Among these tiles will be representations of the multitude of media and tools used by the people of Lillstreet. From the edge will be cast hands reaching out to represent the means by which people express their creativity with the materials they work.
