Celebrating the “Back to the Hand” Movement, One Piece at a Time
Over 30 artists of Lillstreet Studios celebrate the “back to the hand movement” by making one piece at a time. The second and third floors at Lillstreet Art Center are bursting with artists working in a variety of mediums. Works in silver, gold, gems, clay (from terra cotta to porcelain to an atmospheric firing called soda firing, hand built and wheel thrown, sculptural and functional, printmaking on paper and clay and mixed media/collage works can be found by the visitor.
The Lillstreet Artists invite the public in to view and to purchase their diverse handcrafted artwork, during open houses, the First Friday of every month and holiday shows.
Additionally, the public is welcome any day for the opportunity to visit and shop. You may find the artists and craftspeople working in their studios, demonstrating techniques, and creating - one piece at a time.
